Default Semi Loose-Passive/Aggressive - what does it mean?

Poker tracker rated me (default settings) as
Semi Loose-passive/aggressive (= little bomb symbol)
Could anyone explain to me what that means. Is it good or bad?

Well, it depends on how your rules are set up, technically. Assuming you're using the default rules...

Semi-loose is VP$IP between 20% and 30%. For small stakes, as long as you're in the low end of this, you're good.

Passive/aggressive is a combonation of preflop raising and post flop raise vs call ratios that puts you just on the good side of being a calling station. Chances are you're not raising quite enough preflop and/or you're too inclined to check when you'd be better served betting post-flop. To determine which of these is the case, look at your PFR on the general tab. Is it 5% or more? If not, you're too passive preflop. Also, look at the details shown when you click the more details button here. What are your aggression numbers for each street (you might have to scroll down). Less than 2 on anything but preflop is far too passive IMO.

    thanks jeffreyGB

My PFR is now 4,5 and increasing, I'll check the other numbers you mention again. I need more hands for good stats (only 4000 hands so far), but it's interesting to see if anything changes with time.

Hey Jeffrey, I tweaked my rules for rating players. Using 25-30% VP for Semi Loose. 30-40% Loose and 40%+ for maniacs.
I'm also using total aggression (including pre-flop) at 1.2. Under 1.2 is passive, over is aggressive.

I dont' remember where I got these #s. Am I in line with what you're using?

Also, how to get PT to auto-rate myself? I always show up as the default even though I UN-checked the little box under the general tab where is says "Do not auto rate this player". This would be helpful to keep track of my play day to day.

Also (jeez, sorry this should be under Tools) can I get PT to auto-fill in all the names of players at a table (where I'm currently seated) so I don't have to spend time typing in each name?

EasyT, have you tried using PlayerView? If you're playing on a Party skin (not sure if it works on other sites), PlayerView will put whatever stats you want around the player name. If you put the mouse cursor over their name, a box drops down with a list of other useful stats. Quite handy really, and saves you from having to go into PT all the time.

Apparently PlayerView doesn't work great on slower machines... my computer (P4 2.4GHz 1G RAM) doesn't have any issues at all with it.

I checked my aggression numbers and they are:

    flop 3.1
    turn 3.5
    river 7.2
    total 3.56

Those #s are a bit different than what I'm using, but they seem like they'd still be pretty accurate for results.

When you're doing the auto-rate process, is the box unchecked there as well? My guess would be that it's not...if it is, then I'd say you should contact PT and ask them what's up. For me, having boh of those boxes unchecked is all it takes.

I downloaded PlayerView, but it's having problems with my Win98.
I messed with this for a week or so and gave up. It is a common problem with Win98, not PV in particular. I found plenty of advice telling me to download and replace one of my files. I tried about 4 different downloads and gave up. I bet it would be worth it to pursue this further. It really can be a pain to run back and forth to PT, especially if the table keeps changing players.

Anyway, until I get PV working, I was wondering if PT has some auto-load player feature.

These look good (well, given the increasing aggression that may well be appropriate for your stakes - and likely wouldn't be later...see this post). Once you get your PFR over 5% you'll drop the "passive" label.
