Satelites question

Ive been playing in the Stars 2.20 satellite to the gtd 200,000 to build a role, which is slowly working. Anyway my question is this. I found this formula in a magazine that says =

"B ratio = Position above the bubble/ (runners left - seats up for grabs), the closer your "B" ratio is to 2 you can fold your way to a seat.

I am very suspicious of this, any ideas??

Meh. I'm not exactly qualified to talk about satelites, but i think the best way to think about it is in terms of stack sizes relative to the blinds and not places from the bubble. I say this because the assumption that this theory is making is that our M is greater than 1 and the blinds are far away. I mean if no one at the table can complete a big blind then our b ratio doesnt matter and only our position relative to the bb does.

actually in sattelites, only places from the bubble really matter because you get the seat if you survive
