Default Roughly 10K NL25 Check Up

I guess while we're on the subject of checkups here's mine:

These are my net overall stats from NL25 through a little less than 10,000 hands.Note that I took a break from NL25 to play some .50/1 so the time between when I first started in May 2005 to now certain things have improved/or changed.

These are my position stats.I have made big changes from the time I first started back in May to now as I am more aware of my position and have adjusted to raise more when coming in as opposed to always limp/calling.

    These are my best hands:

These are my worst hands(although some of the data is skewed):

And this is my graph.Suffice to say I had a horrible March;although I managed to make some adjustments and fight back in April.May so far has been up and down for me.

I'll try to post my aggression stats later tonight.

Comments/feedbacks/concerns/etc all welcome. If you feel the need to pimp slap me please do.

I don't know how practical a sLagg style is at 25nl.

Bully for you for trying though.

My thoughts (I am a set-farming nit FWIW):

I'd tighten up in the first 5 positions.

You are playing far too many hands from the small blind. That "diff w/o blind" figure should be positive and it isn't.

Your raising range is really low from late position. Just to give you an idea of the differences between your stats and mine, my vpip is around 15 (compared to your 20), yet I am raising almost twice as many hands from late position as you are.

Its possible you are making weak laydowns since your went2showdown is less than 20% (but this could also be because you are playing lots of weak hands).

Overall, I would just tighten up some and limp less/raise more.

I think about 40% VP$IP from SB is optimal. It works for me anyhow.

I play 20% from the sb and average -.13ptbb/hand at full ring.

I just don't like completing the small blind with drawing hands. You can flop a draw and since you are out of position you will have to pay outside your odds to chase, or if you flop a monster or your draw hits you still can't extract max value without position.

NL is mostly a post flop game. Its possible to have a very wide range of VP$IP and PFR and still be a clear winner or loser.

I have averaged -0.02ptbb/hand from the SB and -0.09ptBB/hand from the BB over 60k hands. I don't think position is too big of a disadvantage as your range will be so wide that reading you will be very difficult. I do a lot of check raising from the blinds with draws and medium strength hands, strong made hands I'll just lead out.

    What Renton said:

Tighten up a little and limp less from EP/MP
Raise more from LP (i still battle with this one)
45% is too loose from the small blind. Playing poor hands OOP sucks.
10k is not enough to have much idea of your win rate.

Take that for what it's worth though... I run at 14/7 these day's and I've always been a tight player. I've seen players at 25NL with really weird preflop stats, but who still seem to be winners in the game. As Bill said, it's a postflop game.

Where did u play these hands. Party?

Most of the hands were from Party and the skins both pre split, post split, and present.

I'd tighten up in the first 5 positions.
I noticed that def EP and MP can be marginal for me when my holdings go down;I've been trying to take the mantra of either open first in from MP or limp/call when the conditions are right(pot odds/opponents).

You are playing far too many hands from the small blind.
Early on I completed waaaaaaaaay too often in the SB with utter garbage.Since then I've made it a point to be more selective with when to complete and when to dump(as well as defend).

That's a bad habit I'm still trying to shake;a carryover from my .50/1 limit fiasco.

Ok;sounds good.I'll see what I can do here.

PokerGrader def complains I call too much;stating after nearly every session I should raise as often as I call(gives me more control of the hand I noticed).

NL is mostly a post flop game.
Another area I've tried to focus on;my early days was way too much preflop focused and postflop esp turn play was horrible for me.

10k is not enough to have much idea of your win rate.
I knew that posting;but I wanted to get some feedback before I dug myself into a deeper hole(as evidenced by the Febuary/March mudslide).

Just wondering, how are you displaying these images onto the forum?

I'd like to post my stats at 25NL so people could rip me apart.
Lukie: "Yo Fnord I was playing omaha earlier"
    Lukie: "I got dealt quads"
Lukie: "but everyone folded to my raise "
Lukie: "I was going to pwn everyone"
Fnord: "Gotta slowplay them big hands man..."

When you have your PT stats open hit print screen on your keyboard(should be above the Insert key).Paste into Paint(you can use the square cursor to adjust how much you want).

Go to the ImageShack website(you can goggle it).You should see a Frog.Upload the picture(you can select resize). Then copy paste the link into the forum when you post.

Don't worry it took me a year to learn this as well. But if I can do it anyone can.

Now if only I could become somewhat as good at NL25.
