Default realpokertraining.com poker training site..is it worth it?

Its been about four or five months since ive played some serious poker and im finally getting the itch to play again, but this time I want to do it the right way by putting in the time and really working at it...so I figured to stay motivated and keep on track and open my horizons as a tourney poker player i would join this site...any recommendations or advise? Join or dont? Other website or training site that would be highly recommended?

    thanks in advance,

RPT has been a good training site for mtts. So are Pokerxfactor and the newer microstakes grinderschool (tied in with this site.) Cardrunners is great for cash games. Stoxpoker seems to have become the home of 2+2 author videos on the web, another good choice.

However, at RPT right now, new videos are slow in coming and something is up with the admins or site owners. My guess is that some serious non-poker events are distracting the owners from giving enough attention to the site.

The instructors, Todd Arnold -- who apparently invented the whole poker training site concept, the TV-celebrated David Williams, Seal, Fox are all excellent players and teachers.

This seems to be something beyond "Hey we're in the WSOP. Don't bother us."

I'm hoping RPT's issues are resolved soon.

Does anyone know the source of the site's slowdown?

NOT worth it. Todd Arnold is one of the very worst MTT regulars on the Internet. Paying for a membership to his site is like paying George Bush for public speaking lessons. I want to emphasize that there are at least five or six training sites that are far better than RPT.

If you play cash games, Cardrunners is probably the best. They have a huge amount of content on cash play.

For mtts and sngs, both Pokerxfactor and Stoxpoker are very good. PXF has two subscribers at the final table of the WSOP to be played in November.

PokerXFactor, CardRunners, and PokerSavvy are all better than RPT for learning MTT's. LeggoPoker and DeucesCracked are the best sites for learning cash games.

I looked at Stoxpoker and it's not cheap. Is it worth the money? Will it improve your game that much?
