yeah narco, check out the MTT forum, lots of good stuff in there for us tourney players. Personally I don't push there. I'm really, really pissed and end up folding because you know the guy is going to try to get all the $ in the pot.
About the hand, your re-raise pre is ok, except that it's 1/2 your stack. Consider the next time that you're in this spot, just shoving pre. Depending on the situation, it might be the right play. If you shove pre, you have a great chance to take down $5800 which at this point is substantial to your stack. Remember the 10BBs rule when you're getting short in a tourney? Same concept here, the $ already in the pot is too large to raise and then end up folding if your opponent plays along. If you're committing to this hand, do it before he sees the flop. This way you also don't have to face any A high or K high flops and wonder if you're screwed or not.
