Default Ratings sites like OPR or Sharkscope...reliable? or NOT?

I just want to check in with everyone here regarding these "Player Tracking sites"
I am curious as to whether or not these sites hold any real value or not to a serious player... my questioning of the validity of any info gained by use of such sites, is mostly brought on by the fact that, when i first started playing online I tried all kinds of different strategies, MOST of which failed.
I was stricltly a for fun player , and it was not uncommon over the past couple of years for me to put the poker site up at which i had the most money, and then let my friends all play while we were hanging out.
the point of all that being......my stats are in no way accurate to my true game... and i find that this pays me off quite often in both ring games and in low stakes mtts, players will look up my screennames on these or other sites, and the stats displayed are admittedly dismal.
The result being that players who use these sites trying to glean some insight as to the skill level or depth of my game, almost without fail start to play me as if i am a hopeless donk, which is great for me, but leads me to the QESTION.... If bad info as a result of the above helps me...how many others may be misrepresenting themselves in similar if accidental ways? Looking for anyones take on this, as i would like to know from the serious minded playerws if they find these sights to be of major advantage to their game.

I'm new to FTR, love the site so far
    thanks for your input

as far as i know, sharkscope is pretty accurate

Yes it's pretty accurate. It only applies to sngs so I doubt people would sharkscope you in a cash game or mtt as its is not applicable. OPR is for MTTs and now includes SNGS on full tilt only I believe.

I asked if you were serious because think about your question.

Why would people lose alot to have bad stats to fool people so they were getting a slight advantage. That would make no sense and would result in net ----EV. You don't purposely lose alot of money to hopefully later make a little money.

I see what you are saying now that I think about it that way, as I said I didn't loose intentionally, the stats i have were ran up or down as the case actually is before i became serious about learning the true game of poker , so I guess for now they will benefit me until i learn enough and log enough positive play to start swinging them around...
now that you frame your answer that way i fell awfully dumb, but thanks for the honest answers, gotta start learning the prper way to view and think about the particulars of the game somehwere, and it def seems like this site is the place to do it

Yeah no worries, just thought it was kind of a silly question but didn't really mean to be a dick about it.

Also, if those looking at your stats understand how to read them they will likely notice you have a very small sample size and either know not much can be taken from that sample or think you are a complete noob.

When most people start out their stats won't look to good because they are learning, this is not only applicable to you messing around.

I was a "red fish" on poker edge
now I turned into a "bomb"

does that mean I have to slow down now because some site is rating me more aggressive than I really am?

OH SHI- maybe that's why I donked off so much money in 1/2 6max LHE
they were looking me up! :O
