Default "If it wasnt for bad luck ...

I'd have no luck at all."

Man, this was written for me lol

The same thing keeps happening to me. I keep telling myself that I am making the right move, but its hard when I repeatedly take up the ..well, you know lol

I would say at least 10 times in the last week or so, I have held crappy pocket cards (7-3o, 9-4o, etc, etc). Each time I will fold because meh, they suck. What happens? Oh look .. 9-9-4 on the flop. Son of a. How many times can this happen to one person? haha

Another example. I had pocket 10's. Flop comes out Q-4-7. It checks around the table. Ace on the turn. Someone bets. I fold as I figure someone has got to have a Q or an A. Low and behold, 10 on the river. The winning hand (the guy who bet on the A), had A high lol

Am I making bad decisions folding when I do?

About that woulda-coulda.. it would help beginners also be happy when they DID fold and woulda-coulda got raped. They would see that most times they woulda-coulda got raped with bad hands.

This is similar to a problem i had. I used to always be afraid of laying down the best hand, and if i did it would boil me up inside. After that i was so afraid that i would fold a best hand and lose money i should have won, that any time i hada mediocre hand i was check calling all the way through. The fact is you have to ready and willing to fold the best hand if you seriously doubt your hand. If you have a lot of preassure on you and fold the best hand, dont worry about it. instead think about what would have happened if you have called and he had shown down the best hand. You probobly would have been one buyin shorter.

Dont go playing like a pussy, but also dont let it get to you if you do happen to fold the best hand. Just factor it in for next time, and remember that with the information you had, folding was probobly the best decision.
