While we're on the basic rules, how do your games come down on this question?

A raise must be as much as or more than the bet that it acts against. True or False?

I've played games of both kinds. The APL and online games say "True" -- but this guy's house that I play at says false.

Obviously, if someone bets 500 and you raise 25 you're pretty much wearing a T-shirt that says "put my sorry ass all in". But is it against the rules?
