This was not my hand it was a limit hand from a different site and that is why he said. At that moment he had a pair of 5s which was the low pair. So he also had 10 in his hand. My question was how could it be with straight Odds that on the next card he can improve. My calculations it is like 10% or so. | |

Those are not the odds that he will improve on the next card. Those are the odds that he will improve on the turn OR the river. Technically, with 5 outs, the odds are 8.4:1 against that you will improve from the flop to the turn, and 8.2:1 that you will improve from turn to river. | |
