    Default Question???

Is calling on the button with a SC against a standard 3x Pre flop raise profitable against an avergae TAG player???? im assuming it is but what are your thoughts??

depends. i 3b a lot in this spot, flat a lot and fold a mentionable amount. reads on villain (i know you specified tagg, but that's pretty general), position from which he opened, stack sizes and reads on players left to act are prolly the biggest factors.

btw, filtering my PT3 revealed that 4 of my 6 biggest losing hands are 54s-98s lol, so i could prolly use some coaching on those hands myself

    This.

They'll be most profitable when you play them in position in cheap, multiway pots against players who have a hard time folding TPTK / overpair type hands.
Tilt is poker cancer. You catch it, you die.

If you close your eyes and call pre-flop, no.

If you know the tendencies of said TAG and have a pretty good idea how you can exploit position and his tendencies after the flop to get out of the way when you have no equity and maximise the EV you realise from stealing when your opponent is unlikely to have anything and maximise the EV when you flop something with potential etc - maybe yes. Maybe emphatically so.

    Bad question tbh.

i think its profitable in pos. against standard tag player usually they give up fairly easily whan they dont have anything on flop, when they do have a big hand they are going to pay you off a lot of the time when you flop the nuts, playing in position is a good thing
