    Default question

im in need of learning proper raising amounts or the so called normal amounts. I cant do quick math for calculating pot odds and such but do know that i want to bet out enuf to be giving drawing hands improper calling odds and if they do so they would be making mistake to call. I have liver cancer so i cant do math quickly due to the toxins around my brain, so i was thinking if there might be a simple way to graph some of this or somthing for me to use as a reference. I sometimes when i have good or really good raise pot and want ot stop doing this and raise accordingly..... any suggestions out there are appreciated thanks and glotf. thanks

Dude you're going to get flamed so fucking hard it's not even funny.

Edit: Okay in all seriousness, try 4bb + 1bb per limper preflop and 2/3rd of the pot postflop as a general rule.

Check out the replies to this person's question... f'n ridiculous. Is this supportive of a player who is hoping to learn how to play poker better?
    What a joke.
I've noticed this myself in this forum,.. probably about the most unfriendly forum I've ever checked out. Also noticed the chat in the tourneys to be very similiar. I'll be happy to take your money again in the next one on Fulltilt though.
Of all the 'self-proclaimed pros' on here, some even posting instructional coaching videos for sngs,... I actually took the time to run stats. on them and they weren't even playing with a +%ROI,... and they want to coach?
I've noticed some good players on here as well and do enjoy reading some of the posts in the forum. On the whole though, the attitudes and rudeness of many keeps me from wanting to be very active on here.
What motivates a person to rundown someone who is maybe quite new to poker and is just wanting to learn and get involved?
"Stop drinking"..??? what a f'n ridiculous comment to make,.. and an ignorant one at that. Liver cancer has nothing to do with alcohol consumption and is also well known to be a terminal situation with 95% of those afflicted living for less than 12mos. Is this how we treat a fellow human being who might happen to enjoy playing poker and wants to get better at it?
    Not impressed here at all.
