    Default QQ vs. KK

I've been on the wrong end of this twice in two days now. Am I doing something wrong or is it just bad luck?

QQ is now a net loser for me.

1st hand: I might check the turn, but I am not that good of a player and would probably get stacked here too, mainly because depending on the player he could easily donk off his stack with AJ in this situation. For the record, did villain check to you on the turn because it is unclear in the hand history

2nd hand: I think you could find a fold here. When he three-bets you preflop, I strongly believe this would mean QQ-AA. I dont think you can really flat call here since the stacks are small.

I've had some similar experiences recently. Concerning the first example, given what the board showed up to the river (with that ugly ace), I probably would've done the same. Or course, I would've been concerned about a possible set, but his betting didn't seem to suggest that until the turn. Even so, I would've never thought he had pocket kings-he just slow played them it looked like. I lost a considerable bet today that was definitely similar. I had pocket kings-long story short-we eventually go all in-he had pocket aces...go figure.

As for the second example, I definitely would've been more cautious given the crappy flop. I would've been worried about possible trips and that one guy that plays 90% of his hands with A2 offsuit. But this is probably all moot since, if I read it correctly, you were all in before the flop. I probably would've tried to avoid going all in with pocket QQs-I definitely would want to see the flop.

I can also relate with your net loss experience. My worst pocket cards, by far, is AK, and my best pocket cards are 8's...go figure.

Alright, I changed it back to the original hand form to clear up the confusion and because I can't seem to get the converter to work. Does it only work on Explorer or something?

This sort of thing just happens. Keep playing and you will show a profit with QQ. Try not to dwell too much on past results with a hand if it effects your play.
After I played 10,000 hands at Betfair. My second worse hand was TT. It was at the back of my mind and every time I got dealt TT a little voice in my head said "here's another loser" and it definetly affected my play for a while till I banished the stupid thought from my head. Now after a few more ten thousands hands TT is up where it should be in terms of profitability. This also shows that you really do need to play A LOT of hands before you can draw very strong conclusions about hands.

Hell, KK used to be a worse hand for me than QQ, but it's come back around now. Sometimes you just have to take the beats and get back on the horse with cards like that. I mean, how often are you going to run up against KK with QQ anyway? More likely you could be up against AJ, KQ, something like that in which case, you are ahead.
