Very simple question here, do you weight his range more towards hands like TT, JJ, AK and discount KK+ somewhat because of his shove? You would expect KK+ to raise smaller and not just jam most of the time? Or am I just leveling myself?

Given stack depth i'd fold. You really wanna flip for ~250bb that's if he has AK if he has KK+ your crushed. I think we can eliminate JJ given stack depth.

My personal point of view is I am never happy to get it all-in pre with QQ. Hardly anyone shoves with TT/JJ and the absolute very best you can be up against is AK, which is a coin flip.

What if you open for 3x in the CO at 6max and a 40bb short stacker jams from the BB?

For 100bb stacks i usually prefer to flat 3bets with QQ for the reasons cobra stated, although against certain villains i cant get it in quick enough for 100bb stacks, all depends on how bad/spewy/tilted the villain is and if he's shoving wider than QQ+ AK.

Pretty much this. Too many villains at these stakes consider a 4bet to say "I'm never folding" so they're expecting a call when they 5bet shove.

Against a short-stack I think I have to call, especially only 40bb. As you point out though, if I think a villain is shoving wide due to tilt or whatever then I will sometimes call, but I am never happy about it.

    Quick and painless

Doing the math I need 45% roughly to call, therefore he has to have AK, JJ.

    Thanks all
