    Default problem deposting money

    Hi all,
I have been playing online NL tournaments at aztec riches poker room. I play the play money tournaments. However I feel it is probably closer to real money play than just a normal play money table because people care more about getting to the top 3. I often win first place and am almost always in the top 3 so I think I am ready for real money games. However when I tried to deposit money to neteller my credit card was declined. They said there was a problem with some banks because of the type of merchant it is. I tried a direct deposit with my credit card and that didn't work either. Any suggestions.

    Thank you.

I have the same problem with my card.

Your bank does not allow you to charge anything to these online gambling sites. It's something to do with the legality of online gambling. The banks don't want to have anything to do with it.

However, you can transfer funds. I have come to find that neteller is totally reliable and I set up my bank account with them so I can directly withdraw.

It'll take a few days for you to set up an account, and a few more to deposit (unless you pay extra for the insta-check)

But let me warn you. I played a lot of play money online poker at a lot of different sites before I actually took the plunge. My first $50 I lost.

I would be surprised to find someone here who hasn't lost their first deposit fairly quickly.
I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

Use Neteller. I have had no problems. All you need is a checking account.

You can get money instantly with a big fee of around 20%. You can also wire money at no cost which takes a couple of days.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

SteveO - I think the instant cash fee is only 8.9%. Still big, but I don't believe that it is 20%. I'll verify and post it.

On the subject of Neteller, I too have had no problems with them whatsoever. No fees at all if you are willing to wait a couple of days for things to clear for both deposits and withdrawals.

UPDATE: I double-checked with Neteller and the InstaCash fee is in fact 8.9%. Still kinda hefty but not ridiculous. It is a nice option to have if you don't want to go the fee-free route of waiting a couple of days.
