I want to see what the tightest player you've played against (or your own) VP$IP just for interest sake.

Ironically, the only hand shown down was 94o. Lucky bastard flopped trip nines and won a small pot.

lol. Big blind special? Actually that wouldn't make any sense because his VPIP and PFR are identical, unless it checked through on all 3 streets and he raised somewhere else (probably KK/AA) and won without showdown.

There's no reason why identical VP$IP and PFR would imply that the hand would have been checked down, is there? They both apply to preflop only, don't they? His aggression factor, on the other hand, would be affected. Sure enough, it is a mighty 0.00.

On popular demand, I have further investigated the matter. My findings are intriguing: in the 94o hand he was indeed in the BB, the fun part is that he cracked a limped AA. He checked top trips, check-called a small turn bet, and checked the river.

The hand in which he raised, he pushed AI (for 20BB) from UTG+1 with a limper in front. The limper folded, giving him his second and last winning session of the 13 sessions I have with him. In total he is down 6.50$ or 5.84ptBB/100 from blinds.

    On a different note,

I wonder if this is the same guy as ghostdented on PokerRoom, if so he might be getting more involved, I have him at 10.05 over 209 hands.

He's probably not that tight in "real life", I've only got a bunch of sessions with ~10 hands length on him. It's not like he sat there and folded 100 hands straight . But funny nonetheless.

Correction, I do remember George playing ONE hand in particular. He raises a very tight limper with QQ, gets repopped behind, and then this very tight player goes allin for over 100bb with the most blatantly obvious AA in the history of online poker. George makes a heroic call with only 4bb invested, and of course luckbox's his Q on the flop. QQQ > AA. I can't remember, but I think he got blinded out of his 200bb++ stack after that.

    On a more serious note,

I remember back when I used to play NL100 full ring on stars, there were a few semi-regulars that had stats something like 9/2. As 'nitty' as I used to be, the tightest I ever really played was something like 15/7. At one point it may have been like 13/6 for a stretch, but that was as a relative newb while 8-tabling full ring.

Tightest FTR player I know - a chap called Satan1974 who hasn't posted here for a while After 600 hands against him he's 7/3 - up from 5/3 after 400 hands...

(and yes, he is a winning player. Fuck knows how, mind)
  25. #25
It's because he plays at Crypto and they don't give a crap how tight you are when you bet - they will still reraise/push their flush draws at you...

Ya, I have ghostdented at about 9/1 as well. Faintinggoat on PR is around the same. Some guy named Spykon I ran into was 6/4....

Lol, since you bring it up, my PT autorates you as Weak/Tight with auto rate rules from betthepot. I can't imagine what yours says about me after that horrible session I played on your table yesterday .

I always considered myself a little bit aggressive.....guess I gotta ramp it up

I will look when I get home to see what you are. If I am not mistaken, my last autorate has you as a rock, but thats with PT rules. Bet the pot rules better????

I'm not sure, as I never really used the default ones. The ones I'm currently using (not from the BTP articles, I think I got them from the BTP forum) don't take PFR into account, so they're more geared towards post flop play.

An auto rate symbol is only going to tell you a piece of the story anyway, when playing I have the most important stats on the HUD to better pinpoint the format of fish/rock/etc I'm dealing with (not that I take them into enough consideration, that's a huge leak right there). But I like the icons for aiding me in decisions of wether I should leave a table etc.

Edit: and I haven't got that many hands on you btw, so don't go rushing into changing your game or anything. It sure looked like you were playing the table well .

Just downloaded the btp rules, thought I would try them out. We're both TAGs....that's with 200 hands on you. Didn't know about not taking PFR into account, that will be interesting.

    See ya there, bud!!
