    Default Poker Tracker Question

I was wondering if any of the people that use poker tracker regularly have found that their game suffers. That they are paying slightly less attention to what the other players are doing while they are actually playing as PT will do all that for them?? Also, if you use the add on program that displays percentages about other players while you are playing, does using this lead to a decrease in your ability to play live games?

    No, not at all.

Mainly because in live games I employ a team of beautiful assistants who constantly scurrying around writing my opponents' VP$IP, PFA, BB/100 and # hands played on giant chalkboards suspended above their heads on a complex series of pulleys.

where can I procure a team like this???

my main question is do you find you become too reliant on the percentages?

Not really, i just find it usefull if I am multitabling and I can't pay attention to all the tables. If Im playing live or less tables online and Im paying attention then I probably have a better idea of the hands a guy play and how he plays them than what i get from interpreting the numbers. The numbers are like a cheap substitute.

I''m afraid I specially trained my team of nubian poker princesses from the age of 16. They work for me for free because I saved them from certain death at the hands of their tyrannical father, King Badbeat III.

    They're not for sale.

    You want a serious answer?

A bit, but it's apples and oranges, i think. You can't play 3 tables and pay equal attention to all of them... and you can't help but pay super-attention at a live game because you're totally immersed in it.

I think GameTime+ gives a good immediate heads-up as to how often a player gets involved... with a VP$IP of 11% over 100 hands.., you can put them on a lot less cards than the guy next to him on 30%

But yeah sometimes you think "no real read... GT+ says loose agressive - playing shitloads of hands - bluffer" and they flip over aces.

OK so MY poker tracker questions are:

    1) What percentage of players at party $25 NL are using it?
    2) Does this stat increast to ~100% at higher stakes
    3) How many copies has PTrack Pat sold at $50 each?
    4) Why didn't I think of it first?

    1) Probably low
    2) Probably not
    3) Many
    4) Quite a few did, but they're either lazy or have other things they do with their time then maintain and support a piece of poker software. Hats off to Pat~

As for the OP - so long as you remember that PT stats are guidance and they're not telling you your opps' hole cards, it will not hurt your play. As for live game - if you truely understand what PT stats tell you, you can figure it all out as you observe the table.
