i just downloaded both of the trial versions and have no idea what to do with them, any help would be awesome....i uploaded all my hand histories to pt and it says i didnt load the tournament summaries aswell how do i do that? and how do i get it so i actually see the other players stats during the game?

idk any help on this subject or a link to a post where all of this has been discussed in great detail would be amazing....maybe poker software 101 should be a sticky

What you need to do is open PT and go to the help tab. It will give you a list of topics. Almost everything you need to know about getting started will be in there. If that doesn't work, go to the PT site and browse the forum.

For HUD you need to go to preferences (I think that's what it is, I don't have it on this computer so this is from memory) and configure it for the site from which you got your hands. You usually need to let the program know where to read the hands from. If you can't figure out how to do this, visit the PAHud site and there is also a list of topics to help you out.

Moral of the story: you should be able to find the info you need by visiting the site that provided you the program in the first place.

    Good luck!

FWIW, those tools are much more useful in cash games than in SNGs. I seriously doubt a low stakes SNG player will see enough benefit to justify the purchase.
    I run a training site...
