Default Poker Tracker - Insight Please

I am trying to utilize the program but am "just not getting it" ( Go fiigure coming from a Computer tech right! )

It is giving me a problem with not getting tournament reports. Says to get them from e-mail but I use web based and not POP3. Says I can pull it from a txt file but I can not find any site online other then 1 that has a guide you have to buy, that has the format the txt file is to be in...

I searched the forum and could not find anything as a quick glance ( Post may be old/not stickied ) But could not find anything... Any pointing into the correct direction would really help.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I cant help you, I'm new to PT myself. If no one answers soon you might try the PT forums, they are pretty helpfull.

    Edit: Beaten to it

    Hi Kris

    Try some of these threads...

If they don't help and you can't see anything that does, maybe try asking at the Poker Tracker forum... they will probably need to know what poker site you play and what email you use (e.g GMail, Hotmail, Runbox etc)

ok i use stars and gmail. i have to use the manual entry system

    i) auto-import the hands using the stars HH importer
ii ) go to file > manual stars tournament entry
iii) for each of the rows, fill in the toruney details
    iv) click "auto fill"
    v) fill in where each player finished and how much they won

pain in the bum. thats what i do though! if anyone knows a better way I am all ears

If you can't get POP access to your email, I think you can request the tournament summary and then copy the text of the email to a text file on your PC manually and import that. Is that what you are trying to do?

yes But I am not sure if it is a straight copy and paste or if a required format for the txt file.

Just get gmail for the POP3 access.

It'll save you time and effort, and gmail won't filter out as much mail from your poker rooms and casinos (in my experience.)

Yahoo is mentioned at PT forums as one of the email services that doesn't work for pop3, etc.
    I'm a know-it-all.

No special format, just direct copy and past from the body of the email to a text file and then import from the text file. I just did it with a PokerStars tournament summary.
