    Default Poker Stats DB

Hey guys. A lot of you guys here are beginners trying to improve your game. Well, FTR has a tool they designed that can help at Poker Stats DB

You can paste up to 200 hands from a cash game session, sit-n-go or an MTT and the tool will break down your hands into several useful metrics like preflop stats, postflop stats, stats by position, c-bets and more.

The really cool thing about it is it will give an output that you can copy and paste right in the FTR forums. Maybe you played a cash game session where you think you played poorly. You can just throw the hands into the tool, copy the output and paste it here for some feedback. Or maybe you just want to brag about some sng where you owned everyone's face. Copy and paste and show how awesome you are.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

Could just buy up bulk hand histories and then upload them for content instead of trying to get people to use a crappy "tool" like that, no offense. :/

I asked why "no lol @ spoon" bc like davidem you were pretty clear in your disdain for the "tool".

I thought davidem's critique was fair and was wondering why bikes called him out on it.

How many times is "lolsamplesize" used in the bc after people post stats, giving small sample sizes albeit >> 200?

in b4 ban for spamming and "illegally" collecting hand histories for dubious purposes...

what kind of significance do you get out of 200 hands anyway??

What I mean is that even if the actual intent is good, it could be inferred that you are inducing people to volunteer their hand histories for the purpose of selling them later on or even just using them to populate your own PT3 database, both of which are contrary to the terms and conditions of most poker rooms.

Now if that was really the case, I suppose you would not limit people to 200 hands of course... And what is the purpose of the 200 hands limit anyway? 200 hands is too small a sample for any meaningful stats, especially post-flop isn't it?

Ok, so I post my hand histories in the box and get some output?

And then my HHs go into the big database in the sky and sold for ca$h?

I see what's happening here, lol.

OK I was being sarcastic and playing devil's advocate, plus hadn't read OP properly and realized it was from FTR.

But seriously, why limit it to 200 hands? And why can I look up the tournament stats in the archives, but not the cash game stats?

Just tried pasting the raw hand histories from one of the tables of my last cash session on FTP, and it "sees" only the first hand. Besides, it says hands played with less than 3 players 1/1 (there were 7 active players), PFR and VPIP =100% (the hand was folded to me in the BB), hands won without flop 0/0... etc

Doesn't look quite right. Am I doing something wrong?

edit: it appears that it sees all the hands, but somehow it takes only the first one into account for the summary.

re-edit: it also says "tournament| stats, when it is in fact a cash game. Does this thing really do cash games?

What site were the cash games played on? Right now only FTP and Stars are supported. IF they were on of the sites, could you post a link to your output and I'll take a look at it and let the programmers know about any problems.

Cash games do work, the tool was recently modified to for cash games. It was originally created for mainly SNGs. It was created for players to be able to keep track of a session or sng, send the link to a friend/forum (similar to hand history link) and be able to get some useful stats during said session/tournament. It isn't going to replace HEM or PT3, but we believe it will be a nice tool for players needing advice or who are generally working on their game.

Suggestions on making the tool better are welcome and if you are having any problems, let us know so we can work on fixing it. Thanks!

Also, you should be provided with a link to your cash game session. Here's a random one of mine:

    Poker Stats DB

I do see that it doesn't show up in the archive while tournaments do. Will try to find out why.

It was on FTP and it does the same thing with any FTP cash game hand history (I tried several).
