    Default Poker Math

So i was in Borders Books the other day and came across a book called "Killer Poker by the Numbers".
Now this book had some stuff in it that nearly made my head explode. The formulas and number crunching was extreme. Am I going to have to get a handle on the all the complex maths to be profitable?

To be profitable? No. To be the most profitable possible? Maybe?.. Poker Math is rather redundant. Once you do it a few times it should become less and less difficult.

This is true but it's not nearly as an increase in difficulty as a lot of people assume.
