Just watched the first 5 min, seems good, will watch the rest later. Though have a question, he says there are around 20,000 flops possible.

    I'm getting 50x49x48 = 117600 flops possible... what gives?

Without thinking about the math at all, could it be that you're counting flops like: 5d 10s Js
    and Js 10s 5d

... to be different, whereas he's eliminating doublings where the same cards come but in a different order?

Just a random shot in the dark on a Sunday evening where I don't want to think too hard and want to use intuition to BANG snap hit the right answer.

so yaawn, your formula is exactly the same as 50 * 49 * 48 except you also divide by 3 * 2 * 1 = 6, not sure why but then again it's 4:50 AM and I'm fucking tired.

edit: o is it because the order of the 3 cards coming out does not matter? omg ima genius, yes this makes more sense now

edit edit : o cool eugmac said the same thing, I must say this post has been an exercise in pure win on my part.

just fast forward to like, halfway through so you can laugh your ass off at this douchebag telling viewers to fold their ace king so they don't get 3bet.

or even better, folding it at a table full of loose passive morons.

there might be some merit in the vid, I haven't watched it so won't comment. He can think poker ok, he wrote some useful articles back in the day, he might even be able to teach some basics, but ffs don't give him money for anything. I mean, if bikes is still coaching then you can get like 10x as many hours from bikes for the same money as one hour from split and likely see even more than 10x more benefit. Split stopped playing cos he couldn't win.

meaning that he realised he can't make money by actually playing poker, so figured out another way to milk $$ from the same market?

The more you follow poker the more you realize how difficult it is to make good money off poker because sooooo many people who do turn out to be scammers and scumbags. It's very discouraging.
