    Default picking off steals

Lately I've had a lot of success at picking off steals in multiway limped pots. Sometimes I have a decent hand, other times I have barely anything, but the bottom line is that I only beat a bluff and my call has a lot to do with opp's bet sizing and position.

Here is an example from today:
1/2 NL on Bodog, I have absolutely no reads on villain.
I limp in LP with K8cc. It's 5 to the flop of 7s 5c 3s with $11 in the pot. It gets checked around.
Turn is a red 8. Two checks, villain is 3rd to act and bets full pot, $11. I am next to act and I ponder the situation and decide I have about the minimum needed to continue but I should call and fold to a larger river bet.
River brings ugly Js. But wait, villain bets out full pot, $33. River just completed the flush draw and nut straight draw and villain seems to be in love with it. But why would he bet full pot in a 5way field on the turn as a steal with a high flush draw. I make the call. Thoughts?

I feel like a lot of the lower stakes players around here are not thinking in depth about opp's bet sizes in smaller pots and their hands get played robotically. There is a lot of money to be made by paying attention.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

i don't think u can call the river in that hand. Don't forget that he also has to fear the str8 and flush from u.

I do make calldowns like this a lot though, but with more than a certain number of players (we'll say four) its probably not the best time to be the table police.

    I need a read here.

Playing the table cop on mulitple streets a recipe for pain and suffering. I like to be the guy putting in the bets and raises when there isn't much of anything in the pot.

For the record, I've never called 3 barrels when the flop wasn't heads up. I think sometimes you have to make a 2 barrel stand when something doesn't feel right.

Me too. But the turn wasn't checked to me here, and I thought raising in spots like this would be a recipe for pain and suffering.
