Its kinda nice in some ways, but i noticed it has lowered the average pots, and people get all in less often. Makes it a lil easier to raise for info without getting committed. Just woke up this morning and noticed it myself and left an incoherent thread in the poter etc forum.

It´s nice that they have lowered the minimum stakes to $.10/$.25. Also, I think it was odd playing with just 50 bb, when used to other sites where the max most often is 100 bb or even 200 (Absolute).

Sweet I like this - I had to move back to $25 because the $50 gave me a few beats and put me on scared money. Next time I move up I can actually play poker. Pot sizes did go down though.

Yeah, but now we have to make it so that he makes A COLOSSAL mistake, not just the fishy everyday ones that they make. Because once they make one of those small ones at the lower buy ins, they're pot-committed and have to follow, whereas even a fish can see why he shouldn't call that $100 bet into that $100 board with top pair decent kicker after he already called a $30 bet previously

Average pot sizes are going up if you look at in relation to the blinds. The new NL25 has comparable avg pot sizes to the old NL25 (maybe $4-$5 lower on average), while the blinds have been chopped in half. |

I think there were some bugs when Empire rolled this change out. I went to .50/$1 (not $25NL or $50NL) and clicked on NL. I was on a PL table with blinds of .1/.25. I notified them and they said they changed the blind structure. I still pointed out the table was labelled incorrectly. They noted that I made $6 in my brief stay and left it at that. I played an orbit since I didn't realize the table was off and had already paid a blind. I wonder if other people ran into this and lost money. |

I'm used to 200BB stacks at VC where limping is a way of life, i'm surprised party had 50BB at all. At 200BB you can't really protect pocket pairs easily and drawing can be very profitable, everyone is real loose, took me a while to adjust from stars and i still can't believe the shit some people play but i'm making money, still want to get over to party as soon as i've got enough roll to clear a full bonus.

Allright. The honeymoon period where people log in and go "what? the blinds are what?" and keep on betting the way they used to are over.
