This should be a standard raise amirite? His range is essentially AA, KK, AK so I should tank for like 7 seconds and make it like... 3.50ish for ezshove on the river.

PFR was a nit so I flatted and then got decent odds to call the 3bet especially because both guys were pretty nitty and if I flopped well I had a godo chance of getting stacks.

Yahtzee! UTG Clearly doesn't like the Q which means he's prob got like TT,JJ,AK,99 maybe. I bet half because 1 if button calls I wanted UTG to call too, and 2 if button raises I'm in good shape as well since his range is basically QQ+,AK,AQ and there are only 2 combos that beat me there cause of blockers.

Since button was pretty hyper agg, and I had been stealing pots quite a bit I check here as I think he bets his entire range on this card. I'd like him to commit himself because I feel like he'd maybe just flat again if I lead and then some BS could come on the river to slow the action. Maybe not, but I think I like my check here.

Thoughts? I'll post results after people discuss a little bit.

1. Bet the flop harder, I'd make it like $1.25 because I don't think he folds JJ or TT often to this sizing and it means that if he's taking some weird line with a big hand we can bet 3 streets and get stacks in. Defo raise the turn in order to shove the river and stack his AK, AA or whatever. If he has something weak that he's playing retardedly, he likely isn't sticking any more in on the river any way if you flat.

2. Just go bet/bet/bet here. We really don't want to allow him to check back a Q or a K on this turn and i fisagree that he auto bets his weaker sd value hands that will call 3 streets. Again, just get your three streets and don't risk the turn checking through - if it checks through the pot's too small for us to stack him with a single bet on the river. If he does bet the turn with a Q a c/r from you prolly looks scarier than you just betting the turn and river so if anything you porobably fold out more by c/r.

I dont think its played that bad. Flat Pre is ok. Depends on Vil, 3 bet sometimes. "Bet should be more like .85 but I didn't want to fold out JJ/AK/TT" I dont think these hands are folding to a bigger CBET, if he was gunna fold to 1.20 ish then he would fold to .85. Raise Turn.

Hand 2
Meh I see your feeling on the flop, But I would still bet bigger. Dont think they are folding for an extra $1.00 or so. Id bet Turn for sure like $5-6ish. If you want to induce some spazzy bluff I would at least bet small, but I like bet bet bet

1. His range is probably like JT/AK, have a hard time putting AA/KK in his flop c/c range after he raised PF. I'd call turn/shove river, really don't have to worry about protecting your hand in this spot and if he's running some weird bluff this allows him to do so.

I see three major turn options.

---option #1-----

1. shove making sure you get paid off now;


---option #2---

2. make a min raise, which with these betting amounts can easily get you to an all in;


---option #3---

3. call, let him keep bluffing or overplaying his hand.


Sometimes I think people like to shove just so they won't have to make hard decisions later. And while that's true it's not always the best play.


I like option #3, followed very closely by option #2. If you do option #3 and he makes another big bet all the money is going in on the river. This makes it nearly impossible for him to fold with hands like KQ, AK, AA, 99, etc. If he checks you can make a nice big 2/3p bet and almost certainly get a call with a strong second best hand.



I think the way you played the hand post flop is fine. I probably would have ReR preflop.

Hand #2.


I like betting the turn. A moderate one-half to one-third pot bet is fine. Larger if you think your opp is too loose.

Hand 1. You want all the money in the pot. You need to end up in a situation where 80% of a PSB on the River gets all the money in. That means you need to raise.
You'd LOVE it if the pot could be like 8 dollars once it's all said and done, so a 6 dollar bet will get all the money in.

Meaning: a raise to 2.80 is the best you can do. Plus all you can eat on the river. Obviously if he raises back get it all in asap on turn.

Hand 2: Why is no-one talking about the fact that you flatted a 3 bet with KQs? You're throwing bad money after good. Look at the logic here. "my opponent is a nit, so I'll do what I can to take all of his money". A nitty opponent wouldn't re-flat a 3bet unless he had a really good hand. I know after blockers and whatnot the odds that your opponents had KK or QQ are low, but they've got to be in the range. Not only that, but simply hitting a K or a Q could have still left you behind. Bad Monkey.

As played, nice catch get it in, pray that your blockers are helping you, and not blinding you.
