Well guys, before tonight my last hand of poker was on Jan 2 I believe. Needless to say I'm ultra fuckin stoked.

I'm still rolled for 10nl, but I think it's prob a god idea to log a 1000 or so to scrap the rust off..

I'll also be starting a new blog...

Are you still on cake (juicy stakes)? If so stick with 10nl if you have the roll. It plays so much differently than 4nl that you'll just be scraping the dust of again when you move up. Gl.

Wow, so I'm not the only one here who's fallen off the tracks this year. I've only played about 9 days of poker this year, in Jan., as well.

I got a job that was supposed to be a career, but I've already resigned (short career). I want to be an engineer, not a foreman. I want a desk in a climate controlled office, not a bench in a sweaty shop. My last day on the job is tomorrow, after which I intend to start playing poker again. I'm thinking some 10NL de-rusting, then a shot at 25NL before the summer's over. (I was about to step up to 25NL in Jan.)

I should seriously consider the pros and cons of moving from Bovada to Lock, which would mean becoming a HUD-using player like the rest. I was trying to push my BR up to 1k before I switched sites, but that might not be a good choice.

Thanks mmm. I would def switch over if I were you. The biggest reason imo is that you can develop reads and notes on villains. And having and bring able to use a HUD is a very useful tool.

Since we're both getting ready to grind it up again maybe we could do some studies. I.e. sweats, reviews.

But yeah. Make the switch

Well, I had fell into a slump. (not just losing, but was also feeling a loss of enthusiasm towards playing . y in the last week of January my laptop crashed. So I decided to just take some time away from the grind. I never intended it to be this long,

with lock money trading at less than 40 cents on the $ is it really wise for a US player to put any money on there. Wait forever to possibly cash out or give away most of your winnings in vig to trade the money.

Well. I played my first sesh last night and I played like a lag. Tard. Ran like 29/23. Really just splashed 3 bi's to the wind. And played at level .5 at my brightest moment.

No worries though. Just need to actually think when I play tonight.

I got 200$ out after waiting like 2 months. Tried to take most of the rest of my roll off after they started this Fair Play BS. Been waitin 3+ months so far. Emailed em a little while ago.

All the switcharoo bullshit with cake and juicy stakes has me confused but I don't think lock has anything to do with it. Iirc weld you were on cake and probably on juicy stakes now or are you on lock?

Maybe it doesn't matter so here's the important part. When you cash out notify your rakeback provider and tell them your concerned about the long wait times and that you've heard they can help. I did this (while still on cake though) and received a check in about 2 weeks I think, mebbe 3.

Only at 50nl. There are like 6 tables max at one time play I can play. I honestly haven't noticed the change below that.

I believe they've changed it so that it only applies at 50nl+.

Can you not play on Winning Poker Network?

If you can, I think it's probably preferable to Lock and Bovada. I'd recommend playing on Black Chip Poker. Which is where I play.

They have some of the fastest cashouts for US players. I think it's maybe 2 weeks for checks. You can also get a pre-paid debit card, and then cash out $2500 every week. And the money arrives on the card in roughly 3-5 business days from when you request the cashout.

The software pretty much blows for grinding though. If you aren't putting in a lot of volume, then it's probably not that bad. But there isn't an auto-timebank, or preferred seating. There are also some other things that it's missing.

However, they are supposedly releasing a major upgrade in 2 weeks or so. So will see how that goes.

Rake kinda sucks. There is a Beast (rake race) promotion and a Bad Beat Jackpot promotion. So for each pot to the flop, $0.25 is taken in additional rake, with $0.18 going towards the beat and $0.07 going towards the BBJ.

Traffic is however increasing. And will likely increase more if the upgrade comes out and it doesn't totally suck.

Either way, I think it's probably better than waiting months to maybe get a cashout.

It is true that HEM works on WPN now? Also, how easy is it to get 100k VIP points? Comparable to Stars? Probably easier now if they are increasing the rake.

I don't think that's implying that WPN is increasing their rake. I believe Merge recently increased their rake a few months ago. But WPN hasn't, and I haven't seen anything about them planning to. The rake on WPN still isn't great due to the BBJ/Beast promotions though.

Yeah PT4/HEM is allowed. I use PT4 and know it works. I think HEM2 works now, but know it didn't for a while and only recently got supported.

I think the biggest problem with WPN is software and rake. If the upgrade comes out soon like they say, and it isn't a POS, then that'll solve one problem. As far as rake, it might make microstakes quite difficult. I don't really know how much of an impact it will have at 25nl or lower. Might be something you want to look into though.

WPN hasn't raised it. But has had steep rake from the BBJ/Beast promotions. Merge upped their rake, and given WPN also had high rake (standard rake, but the promotions drop), I suppose the OP of that thread figured it was worth mentioning at well.

Absolutely. HEM2 is now working with WPN...and working well, I might add. I'm using the registered trial version and only have 10 days left. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to shovel up the $99.99US to buy the full version. It's easily, easily worth it though.

If you're trial is ending. Email them when you have like two days left. They will give you an extension. Tell them ya love the product blah. Blah.

Worst case you can download poker tracker 4 your hem data will transfer right in.

I actually do love the product and to be totally honest - the support they're providing on 2+2 is amazing.

My HEM2 trial hasn't been working on pokerstars for 3 days now, really annoying. Not just that the HUD doesn't work anymore (it shows random names with 2 hands on every table), it doesn't import any hand anymore.

You should just hit up the HEM2 thread on 2+2. I'd link it but I don't know if that's allowed here.

That thread has tons of links and posts/replies in it and pretty much every problem seems to get solved. Usually it's just a matter of having your import settings or hand history folder synced improperly.

I'm deleting the spam every chance I get. Seems like there has been an increase in spam since the move to VB4. I'll have to ask if there are some spam filters or something no longer in place.

I've been watching this process develop over the last couple of months. On 2p2, as well, there has been a steady, continuous stream of players coming from merge and revolution and joining WPN. HEM2 coming out for WPN really, really turned the tide.
