    Default Odds question...

    If you have T9, what are the chances that the flop will give you either a straight or place you one card from having a straight?

    I know how to figure odds when just one card is missing (aka, what are the odds of getting a club with 47 cards to go) but i have no idea how to figure the odds when your looking for 2 cards instead of just one.

    T9 and the chances of getting a 8 or a J is easy to figure, but what about getting either 8 AND J, or J AND Q, or 8 AND 7, or J AND Q AND K, or J AND Q AND 9, or J AND 9 AND 8, or 8 AND 7 AND 6? (if i even rembered them all)

    How do i figure out thoes odds?

    Thanks
    David

    Take the number of flops which correspond to the situation you described and divide by the total number of possible flops.

    Basically, this is a huge pain in the ass to solve. Just realize that it isn't very likely and fold the hand.

    basically, I want to complete this chart:

    On Flop
    JsTs -> Straight/Flush Draw (or completed) = ?%
    AsJs4s ->Flush Draw (or completed) = ?%
    KQ -> Open Straight (or completed) = ?%
    AK -> Closed Straight (or completed) = ?%
    Set(or full house) 12.0%

    On Turn
    KsQsJsTs -> Straight/Flush = ?%
    AsJs4s3s -> Flush 35.0%
    KQJT -> Straight 31.5%
    AKQJ-> Closed Straight 16.5%
    Set -> Full House = ?%

    On River
    KsQsJsTs ->Straight/Flush = ?%
    AsJs4s3s ->Flush 36.4%
    KQJT -> Straight 32.7%
    AKQJ -> Closed Straight 17.1%
    Set -> Full House 19.0%

    I'm not even sure what I have so far is correct =)

    Anyone able to finish that for me?

    Thanks
    David

    I promise this isn't spam, just an answer to the question

    http://www.pokerupdate.com/pokerodds.htm

    I have a graphical one I found somewhere but its on my work comp, I can post just the file on Monday.

    You do have to do the math on the OESFD, for example after the turn if you have 7h8h9h10h.

    9 outs (flush)
    8 outs (straight)
    -2 outs (overlap, ie 6h, Jh)

    16 outs / 46 cards = 34.8%
