    Default Not winning tilt

I think I have experienced a week of not winning enough tilt.

I know you can go on tilt when you loose money and your bankroll drops but I have been hovering around my original deposit for about 100 $2+05 sng's. I was getting sick'n'tired of it and wanted to move on to the 5+50. I had desided to win my way up to be properly bankrolled for that level but since it didn't happen in the pace I expected I probably went on tilt and now my $30 is gone after 15 out of the money in a row except a 3rd place.

    Have others felt the same?

What I will do now is to start a new bankroll for 5+50 games after some days of rest from playing doing some poker study instead, hope it's a good choice. I will also change to another room. Want a room with support for pokertracker.

I will also take the 5-10% loss per day rule more seriously. A problem with that rule though is that you can only loose 1 or 2 games a day and that doesn't give a beginner so much time to practice, does it?

Party poker supports tracker, but I think their smallest SnG is 5+1. Other than that one, it's been forever since I played on anything else so i don't remember.

Keep your head up. If you've ever played any sport in your life I am sure you have been told to keep trying and keep a positive attitude. Now, I am by no means saying that this is an easy, causual thing to do. I haven't been able to do it sometimes, but in the long run keep playing smart and you will be fine.

EDIT: as far as practice goes for new players, try the micro limit tables...I think poker stars has some .1/.2 tables or something like that. That's just what it takes unless you're going to start out with a huge BR, which I wouldnt recommend.

i really dont know if this helps anyone else, but before i actually started playing for real money, i spent about 2 months playing fake money SnGs and all the freerolls i could. even though it isnt real money, i still think its very good experience, heck i still play fake money games, i have also went to barnes and noble and read 1 or 2 different poker books, they seemed to help ok too. good luck.

also, if you want really small buy in SnG. Absolute Poker has them as low as .50c + .10c and even MTT for $1+ .20

Technically, with $100, you're moderately ok moving to $5+.50 SnGs.

The general recommendation is to buyin for 5% of your bankroll, which hits $5 exactly. A couple of losses and it becomes close, but you could easily be ok.
    I run a training site...

Check out strategy videos at GrinderSchool.com, from $10 / month.

Never played a 2 tourney but based on how bad I remember the 5 buck entries being, I don't know if anyone can beat them consistently... I think staying even over 100 tourneys shows you can move up to 5.

I'd recommend PS or some other site with 5/.5, the rake on the 5/1 is just goofy.
