    Default Noob Pitfalls 10NL

So I used to hate these spots, still do but a lot less then I used to when I was 100% noob

    1st hand:

Villain is 12/4/2 over 225 hands

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) -

    UTG+1 ($2.78)
    MP1 ($5.75)
    MP2 ($13.75)
    CO ($5)
    Hero (Button) ($8.76)
    SB ($6.93)
    BB ($5)
    UTG ($5.39)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, Q
    3 folds, MP2 bets $0.20, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.20, 2 folds

    Flop: ($0.47) 4, A, K (2 players)
    MP2 checks, Hero bets $0.35, MP2 raises to $1.20, Hero ??

I only see him do this with AA/KK/AK and maybe AQ

Like I said, I used to hate folding here. Now not so much, but still wanna check if it's good(99% sure it is).

    2nd hand:

Villain is 12/7/1.8 over 300 hands.
SB is 42/14 over 15 hands.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) -
    CO ($4.21)
    Hero (Button) ($8.57)
    SB ($4.95)
    BB ($2.85)
    UTG ($14.09)
    UTG+1 ($5)
    MP1 ($12.59)
    MP2 ($12.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 10
    3 folds, MP2 bets $0.17, CO calls $0.17, Hero calls $0.17, SB calls $0.15, 1 fold

    Flop: ($0.73) 9, 3, 7 (4 players)
    SB bets $0.55, MP2 calls $0.55, 1 fold,Hero ??

    Villain range: (TT-QQ,AdQd,KdQd,QdJd,JdTd and sets)
    So easy fold?

Edit: His range might be a bit wider here, but with 2 people left to act and his low aggro stat I don't think it matters much.

    Folding first hand.
Calling second hand, but probably giving up on a second or third barrel (depending on turn/river cards ofc).

    1) First hand fold pre. He only raises 4%, his range crushes you. Yes he only does this with AA,KK and AK... preflop (maybe also QQ). As played fold flop obv.

    2) Second hand you can call the flop or fold it, it's probably about equal EV. Fold to continued aggression on further streets.

    3) Play full stacked!!! Set up auto-rebuy to the full amount.

Hand #1, I think its fine to just fold preflop here. As played, easy flop fold now.

Hand #2, I hate calling here. I think its just a money pit if we are just going to fold later in the hand so often with so many scare cards and the nit still involved. Raising and getting it in against the fish is ok. I like Fold > Raise > Call here.

I have to agree with raise being better than call on hand 2, you have no more information and there are so many cards you hate to see on the river.
What are SBs c-bet % I bet it's high for SB - seems to be a fishy player in calling his blinds.

I could tell my self that SB puts in a c-bet light, the only person we should really be concerned about is the smooth caller behind (as he could be calling with a big pair - a mistake but a problem) I think a hefty over pot raise may win the hand but otherwise fold.

Additionally a 3bet in position pre might not be a bad plan to have a better idea where we are at on the flop? (this is is one I'm not so sure about so grill me if you disagree).
