non nut flush draw + one small pair

in a tournament, The blinds are 50/100
Me on the BB : T7 of spade
button : TT
4 persons take the flop wich is : 3s 7d 9s.
The pot is $400
I have a small pair and a non flush draw. I had $1300 left and the button a little more. I decide to overbet : $500. The button goes all in, i called and lost (didn't drew out).

I had 12 outs but all my draws were weak. I had almost the same hand in a full ring game( T8h BB, Flop Qh 8s 2h) . I check raised the flop, didn't improve and lost some money. Each time, i didn't have postion and was in a difficult situation on the turn

How do you play that kind of draw in no limit without position ? Do you semi bluff ? Is it worthwile playing ?

If you are a short stack, your chips should go in all day with these kind of draws. However you looked like you were in a decent chip position there, no need to be pushing edges there.

On that hand, I probably would have bet the pot on the flop and folded to the all in reraise, and picked a better spot.

you dont want to be calling all in bets with only a draw ... but pushing yourself is fine.

The easiest way to play it in EP is to check-call and then let pot odds dictate whether you call another bet on the turn if you miss. Alternatively, you could lead out or check-raise on a semibluff, but this puts you in a tough spot on the turn if your draw misses: you either have to check and hope for a free card or continue the semibluff and hope you fold out any remaining opponents or hit your draw. If you are not prepared to bet the turn, then I think you should just check the flop in EP though.

Checked to in LP, I would semibluff this hand most every time. Then on the turn, you can decide wheter to bet again or take a free card.
