    Default New to these forms.....

Hi, my name is Steve, i am only 14 but i found my interest in poker long ago. I now like many of you play internet poker to improve my game. I DO NOT play for money being as i am under 18 but do take part in he occasional Pacific Poker Free Roll . I play poker almost none stop all day and i think i am getting rather good. I play mostly Tornament Hold'em but i also like playing: Omaha, 5 c Stud, 7 c Stud and Razz. I would aslo like to klnow, it is a bad thing me being so obsessed in poker? shoulsnt most 14yr olds be outside terrorising old ladies? I am love poker so much all of my christmas stuff is going to be poker: Books and chips. Any comments?

Go to PlatinumPoker.com or Doylesroom.com - they both have a ton of freerolls. The single table tournaments have 10 cent prize pools (5 to 1st, 3 to 2nd, 2 to 3rd). It is conceivable that you could build a bankroll from this without ever depositing anything. If you play all the time anyway, why not?

As for the legality - I'm not sure if it's even legal for ME to play poker, and I'm 31.

Do I think 14 year old kids playing poker is bad? Well, maybe. But you gotta do something to kill time. I suppose if you spent the same amount of time on it that you would normally spend playing video games or watching TV, then it might not be such a problem. I wish I had started playing when I was a kid. Just make sure you are the one getting the money when you play. Better to be addicted to a skilled game like poker than a game of luck like craps or video poker. If you are good, poker isn't gambling.

    Good luck.

Welcome aboard. And as resident smart ass here. :P I would like to say that if you spent as much time learning to spell correctly you'd be a genius.

I don't think teeenagers playing a game is bad. There is alot of money to be won playing Magic the Gathering. And parents don't moan about trading card games. Although the prospect of losing a pot of money to a teenager is disheartening to me. I'd rather that happen to me, than some kid be out there getting into trouble.

Just as long as your playing dosen't interfere with school and family. You're okay in my book. And playing poker is one heck of a part time job, lol! (If you're good enough.) Anyway you cut it. It's still just a game. Not life.

    Play on young poker wiz

*note* this is bad advice, but its what I did .

My highschool job was poker, lol I used to make my lunch money by playing 5 card draw before school.

Its better to learn young how to play right.

The to learn old and lose lots of money learning, lol.
