Default New to the FTR Introdution

Hello, to everyone I have not played poker tell I got hurt a year ago and was laid up in house recovery. I have a love for water sports and extreme sports pushes the adrenaline junky in my sole...lol I would like to take my poker to the outside world and feel I'm not ready after playing only online basic texas holdem games (not being rude) i.e. zynga, WSOP by EA sports and a few others they being ran by bots which do tend to still your money or bump you off the table after a few folds. Is this how real poker is played in the real world, I truly hope not...!! Help in getting started for real even when I play the bots too...!!

"Real poker" is much harder to beat than mindless bots. That said, the number of bots on online poker sites is greatly exaggerated. Reputable sites take active measures to identify "bots" and suspend/remove their accounts.

Rest assured that if you're losing, it's because you need to learn more. We all had to learn the game at some point, and we lost a lot then, so don't feel discouraged. If you put in a few hours a day of study, review and table time, you'll be beating the micros within a few months.

Keep involved in the discussions and post any hands that you have questions about.

    Welcome to FTR.

Ignore anything you've played against bots or on the play money tables on Facebook - they give a really untrue and probably (I'm not 100% sure) rigged version of poker. It's like those people who win millions of play chips with a "system" on roulette then can't understand why it keeps. on. losing. when they play it for real cash!

I'd advise reading as many threads as you can and trying to take everything in
