I have a Presario C500 and I just went through something similar. I have Vista, HEM, and ninja. Ninja isn't as bad as it was when they first came out with it. My system was running fairly slow as I added tables. I did some research and learned that my laptop could only hold 2.5gb max.

I added what I could and saw a little bit of difference. The other thing that I did was purchase an 8gb flash drive that could do Ready Boost. Not sure if this did anything but it was worth a try.

The crazy thing was that when my subscription ran out recently for my Tred Micro, I removed it and my system actually runs a lot better. Even when Tred Micro wasn't scanning or updating it was slowing things down.
