    Default Moving up micro limits

Hi, I'm new here so bear with me. After screwing around and horrible BR management I have finally settled down and started grinding.

My bankroll is almost ready to support either the .02/.05 or the .05/.10 at Stars. Since the buy-in is the same is there a marginal skill difference at either of the two? I really feel that going back to the micro limits and playing solid TAG ABC poker has really helped my game and I guess I'm wondering if you had the choice to make of which one which game would you pick?

I haven't played those tables myself, but FWIW I can't imagine there is a huge skill difference between the two levels. As long as you are confident, and are properly bankrolled I would just jump right in at the .05/.10 tables. You can always drop down if you lose a few buyins.

    Good luck.

You should be playing .02/.05 when your bank roll hits 100 dollars. You don't have to buy in for $10 and you really shouldn't. $5 should be considered a normal buy in, the default $6 buy in is more than enough.

Until you come close to playing .5/1NL your BR should be the only factor to consider when deciding which stakes to play. Skill differences are pretty marginal and your cant learn fast enough. Stick to the 20BI rule and everything will be fine.

As long as he knows that .02/.05 is 5 nl. If you can afford to buy in for 10 dollars, you should be playing .05/.10.

It's a matter of Bakroll, 'cause the skill difference is marginal.
