    Default Moving up?

Ok, I've almost got the bankroll for 50NL now (figure 1000$ should do the trick), but I've only been playing a few weeks on 25NL. I'm totally comfortable playing on this level.

I do not know my hand count or bb/100, but I'm pretty certain that there are some obvious leaks that need fixing. I'm in the process of getting Poker Tracker through PSO/Paradise, and I'm sure that'll help me plug some holes. I'm fairly certain that my roll will reach 1000$ before getting PT, though.

I have the discipline to move back down if I run into trouble/major adjustment problems early on (at least I did on two occasions when I moved up from 5,50$ to 11$ SnG's and hit bad downswings). When I move up I will be able to whore some higher level bonuses, this should compensate for some of the leaks that need plugging.

So my question is something like this: would I be better off staying at 25NL for a while longer to plug some leaks, or should I just move up to 50NL as soon as my roll allows it?

Get PokerTracker (or whatever s/w) and move up. A quick look at PT may help with some obvious leaks and you can avoid those at 50NL. And as you say, if problems arise (like when I moved up to 50NL and quickly lost 4 buyins) you can move back for a bit, rebuild, and attack it again.

    Good luck.

Thanks guys. Taking the step the minute my roll touches 1000$. Now, if only these ba***rds could stop hitting their 2-outers on the river .

Heh, I guess what I really mean is "I have to stop putting more money in the pot when they hit their 2-outers and I haven't got it all in there on the turn" .
