    Default Moving Seats?

Just wondering if it was considered unethical on online poker if a seat became available to the left of a bad player and I left my seat on his right and sat there? The option happened today while playing and I wanted to check that it is ok for me to do that?

Of course it's ok. You have no friends at the poker table.

If it's not against the rules, it's not a problem.

to bad you can't do it without leaving the table..atleast on PS.
"You start the game with a full pot o’ luck and an empty pot o’ experience...
The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck."

I stay at a table for 16 hands before I either have identified a source of money and stay or I gtfo. If a seat become available even a couple seats closer to said source I'm there in a jiffy. Seat selection is so huge and underrated.

If it's not against the rules then why not.

Pick your Tables, Pick your Opponents and Pick your Spots.

so you spend all day looking for the optimum seat instead of playing? Clearly you should table select but moving seats just because a donk that's slightly worse then the donkey you are already playing joins the table is kinda silly.

There is so little logic in your post I feel it hardly deserves a response. Obviously if I'm already at a seat with position on a fish and another one joins the table I won't feel it is necessary to move unless he's much, much worse than the current source of money. Even if I DID do that, that wouldn't make me "spend all day looking instead of playing", moving seats is instant and if you make the switch right you lose like two or three hands at most. What is the purpose of your post?

May point is people who use tactics like you are ruining the game. I suppose you also hit and run. I can just imagine you siting at the table next to a 50/4 fish and then a 60/2 fish joins the game and your like oh no i better move seats. Seriously though whatever makes you money. Didn't mean to get you all upset and bothered. Answer me this how many hands do you lose a day by moving seats. Sure it only takes a few seconds but surely there have been times when you left your seat and someone else got the seat that you wanted before you.

I never move seats get next to a fish. I'll move to get away from someone whos pwning my arse, but it doesn't happen very often. Shouldn't we be learning to adapt to the changing dynamics of a table? I'm quite happy seated pretty much any seat on any table as long as I'm better than the majority of people on it.

    A little off topic...but

If you play multiple tables sometimes its good to have a table with a bunch of 'regs' cause then you arent involved in big pot decisions all the time. The win rate may not be high but you can just steal blinds and cbet them to death and then leave when you think they are catching on.
