I heard Samoleus runs at around 49/27, try that style out, he makes a lot of money.

If you double yours you'll be getting close. Of course, you might have to lose a monitor.

Just play what you are most comfortable with. Any style can be very profitable as long as you keep working on improving it. Cardsman and I like to rib each other about how we each play the game--he is tight and very agressive while I am very tight and moderately aggressive. He is 20/10 and I am 15/7. My PTBB/100 is slightly higher, so being tighter than the optimal does not mean I am less profitable. Lastly, the other thing you need to be careful about is being caught up in the numbers instead of playing rational poker. In other words, don't start raising and playing all sorts of hands just because you heard 20/10 is da bomb. That's a recipe for disaster if you start playing hands you are not prepared to play properly. I speak from experience there so I've been there and done that. Lost a lot of $ too... |
