    Default microstakes teaching video!

    Hey all,

i made a 25NL shorthanded video. It's not hosted on ftr but you can find it here:

    http://www.donkeytest.com/school.html

I think the information in it would be helpful for players at all low stakes levels.

    Two ain't working either.

Both videos don't work. I actually downloaded the codec for the media player and it crashed the media player every time I tried to open a file with it lol.
Had to uninstall the codec. So if anyone is going to download the codec- I would advice against it.

I couldn't get them to work in either Windows media player or VLC. They do work fine in Zoom media player which you can download for free (it's only small) from here:

I'll watch them shortly. Thanks Max!

Massimo is on fire! lol Nice video, man. Really shows how to get paid off when you hit a hand(or not, in the case of winning with 3high).
Were you playing looser for 25NL in the video, or is this your normal range? Really loose starting hands if you compare it to most 25NL tags. The difference, off course is that you know a heck of a lot more on how to use those hands, but still I think if you give that range to a 25NL player- he'll lose his ass on playing sc and Q8+ and such.

bump. Forgot to mention- Kits is right, both videos work if you open them with anything other than the windows media player.

Haha, actually i was playing tighter! Although i play kinda loose in midstakes 6-max games. no gap and even 1 gap sc's are good cards so i don't consider them loose, if you looked at the profitability of them over a large sample you'd see that most players make very good money off of them. In terms of Q8s, i just kind of mentioned that was a loosish raise that you could make if you were folded to on the button. I don't reccommend it for all players, and you're right that tight is definitely right for 25NL players who haven't gotten good postflop yet.

Great videos, 2nd one crapped out around 7min mark for me. I was using BSplayer.

First poker video I have seen, really opened my eyes, kinda scared me, but it gives me something to work towards.

    Thanks a lot.

Yeah, zoom is a quick download and made the video playable in media player.

Good video. Pretty much how I play already, minus all the sets. It's good reinforcement though.

Yeah it's pretty much how I play as well. I don't think Max's range in the videos were particulary wide and I raise most times on the button when it's folded to me. I take down a lot of pots with a follow up c-bet when the blinds decide to defend. You have to remember they aren't very good post flop either and they're also out of position.

Wow, thanks Massimo. Those videos were awesome. I am a newbie to ring games and progress has been slow. I've been at 20BB/100 player at $2nl so far.

I watched both of your videos and it really cleared up some problems understanding aggression and position that I was having. After watching, I played for an hour and these are the results. I know its a small sample, but I already felt a lot more confident in what I was doing. During this session I got stacked with QQ vs AA as well and still had very good numbers for me. Please comment on my key stats if you like.

    Thanks!

nice job outlaw! Your stats seem reasonable, although you're not going to be able to maintain that win rate .

A lot of your stats i can't analyze without a bigger sample though.

Posting here so you know your effort is appreciated. Very good vids and I must add you're doing great job of explaining concepts and your actions. A must see.

Thank you very much. All 3 videos (I know the 3rd one isn't made by you) are so helpful in pointing out what one can improve and learn. I was just wondering ... would you mind maybe giving us the hand histories from all 4 tables you played there? The reason is, that I've never multitabled before and it's kind of hard following all tables simultaneously since I'm a kind of player that plays only one table but watches every move like a hawk. So I just wanted to take apart the hands and following the moves and explanations you made step by step. It's easy to just watch and listen and say like "yeah, right ... I'd do that too" without really putting yourself in the same spot, at least in my opinion

If you don't want to it's fine, I'll just puzzle it together myself then, just asking

If you know the author of the 3rd movie (the 4 tabling 100NL), I think you can thank him for putting it up from all of us too

Update guys, the videos are now in wmv format. The sound quality is much better and the videos should work fine on windows media player!

They should be in wmv format by the end of the day.
