maybe the stupidest play i've ever done....

sitting at 5-10 buy-in cash game at my school with a raiser at my table. this kid was raising almost every hand so i look at AA and just call waiting for his raise to push my stack on him nobody ended up raising.....

the flop comes J J J and i almost immediatly knew i was going to get absolutly no action on my aces. i push out $8 with a usual bet of 1.50-3.00 on the table and everyone folds.

stupidest play ever? i think i should have checked it and let someone catch something, or bet real small to see if someone re-raised with the 4th J. luckily nobody had the J but i took down the massive blinds of 4 players....

You want to check or bet small. If somebody bets high or reraises, you have to consider they may have a jack. It's unlikely though.

You want people in the hand because when a 6 comes out and somebody has a 6 in their hand, they will think they have the nuts and bet accordingly. Keep them in until the river and drop the hammer.

Also, wipe the smirk off your face when they go all in on the turn or river.

If I had the J in this case, I would only be calling any post-flop bets, to see if I can get any action. I would definately not be tipping my hand by raising or raising big any bets before me.

no - you have the stone cold nuts, milk 'em for all they're worth.

Regarding this play, I would check the aces until someone bets, and then come out with a decent raise. Play it normally from there.
