    Default Lucky hands?!

    Share yours. I have one.

It's the 6-9, suited or unsuited, it doesn't matter. :P

This is a hand I go all in now, no matter what... even if there's multiple raises in front of me. Sound ridiculous? You might think so. But you'd be surprised how many times I've cracked Aces/kings, or other "better" hands.

I've seen over 50 flops where i would have had the nuts with the 6/9... it seems to attract trips/fullhouses/straights like no other. Maybe it's just the site I'm on? (ipoker)

Think I'm crazy? Try it. Next time you have 6/9, get some balls and go all in.

I've NEVER lost with that hand.

Another "magical" hand seems to be J-8. This one isn't as good, but I've had MY Aj,Kj, etc cracked with that damn hand.

oh, and here's a visual demonstration.

KK- 5 dollars won, KQsuited, 9 dollars.

    the almighty 9-6?! $12

this is from a week's worth of statistic recording, i play low blinds, but this screenshot should be evidence of the magical power of that hand! xD

Maby just push half your stack in on j8? You sound like a guy I met once who was convinced Pacific was rigged and would play KJ or some such hand like this, this was at 500 and 1K tables. Its OK to have a cheeky look/raise with a 'lucky' hand every so often to mix it up imho. Infact at the 6 max tables I play some guys run at 10/3 over hundreds of hands and i'll call raises with nearly any 2 as I know what they have and they are very stackable. But playing like you describe will cost you huge wads of dollars over the long term.

Anyway I like Q 10 s recently; perhaps i'll push with it next time.

edit: and you got dealt 96 nearly twice as many times as KK; def rigged

You might be right. It's worth debating whether or not this is just some fluke.

It just seems to be like that. I fold 10/3 or 10/2 no matter what. There's nothing lucky about that hand... only for one person, and that was in the 70's.

Every time I've gone all in with it... someone has had a hand that is 10 times better, maybe even a Q-10suited (which is a hand i've won money with as opposed to Q-10 unsuited which i'm showing a negative amount). And every time I've done that... I have won... flopped a FH... hit trips on the river, two pair on the turn, straight on the turn... you name it... I suggest you give it a try at least once, and see if it works for you.

Get a grip dude, before you go broke. What are you a warlock?
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I flopped quads on Q9 once, and when I was just starting it was surprising how many pots it would bring down.

Now, though, I'm willing to admit that this isn't something that will hold true for the long term, and I no longer play it. I've had AA cracked 3 times recently for big sums -- pokertracker shows a win rate with AA as 72.73% and it's averaging a loss of 1.45BB/hand.

So, is AA a losing hand as evidenced by my last 2,030 hands (since I got PT), or did I just run into donks who like to go all-in on middle pair and catch a river card a couple too many times? There's a reason poker is profitable for people who are willing to learn the game, and there's a reason so many people are willing to contribute winnings to good players...
