If BB/UTG are kinda bad I like a flat to keep worse hands in the pot since you have position, sick equity against one + two pair hands and crush any other draws. Getting a bad player to start putting in money could be worth more to you than re-raising someone who just potted this flop into 3 other players.

That said, it might be difficult to get action on a 3rd spade with the in hand.

The way you played the hand is fine, but flatting might be better depending on the opponents and game texture.

hard to go wrong as long as you don't fold

I'm pretty nitty when it comes to playing without the initiative, but I think I fold preflop.

I think 3-betting pre is actually better than folding, wheras calling is better than 3-betting.

    Call>3-bet>Fold

I'm sure you're wondering why I think this...but thats OK maybe my thinking here is fucked.

If the CO had a PFR of something like 7% or 5% or less I like a fold. Otherwise we should fustrate his attempts to play non-premium hands against the fish by taking flops with hands like this and throwing in a 3-bet every now and then. You need to eat too.
