    Default Learning Curve

Is there a typical "learning curve" in online holdem. My first deposit went rather quickly playing $6 PL SNG's. I wrote it off as experience. My second deposit went a little further continuing with SNGS and venturing into low limits rings and $1 MTTs. On my third deposit, I played even money for about 2 months even winning a few SNGS but a string of bad beats sent it down. My fourth deposit seems to be going rather quickly even though I am playing and adhering to most of what I have read on this forum and studying in other places. My question is, Do I just suck at poker or should I continue to grind it out until I find what fits me best. Is there a typical learning curve that most experience before being able to show any type of profit from this game.

that's a cool link. I guess my problem is that I have never really realized the quick jump in bankroll that he spoke of. Poker is fun and I can afford a few more $1 MTT and $6 SnG's so i'll grind it out. anybody have any other thoughts??

One thing you'll learn is that most of your bad beats were really just poor play on your part. No offense ... I have been there and done that as most of us have. As you get better, you'll have the pleasure of experiencing some really nice really bad beats.

For me .... last night ... 2nd hour of a tourney ... I go all in with AA as does the player to my left. The table's big stack (has us covered 2x) calls. Cards flip over ... player #2 also has AA ... big stack has K 6 os. Flop is 6 6 4. Oh well.

Good luck. FTR turned me from breakeven to winning poker. Hang in there, read everything here, and you'll be making those monthly car payments in no time.

Bankroll management is the key. It doesnt matter how good you are if you are playing out of your bankroll.
