I used to grind 60K hands of 6m while working full time and being a father. I played most of my sessions like this for a couple years.

As d0zer points out, the interesting thing is the kind of sub-optimal play that tiredness seems to induce. I guess it is just the "better make my money back quick so I can go to bed break-even for the day mindset" which gets people into trouble. I'm sure everyone has fallen into that trap before and gone on to become a better player after realising just how utterly stupid it is. It does take a while for beginners to realise that it doesn't matter how many hands you put in or whether you are up or down in a session as long as you are playing your best. Poker is a continuous game and your success is measured by the sum of all of your hands not just today's hands sooooo..... moral of the story is if you are losing.... urm.... go to bed?

On the other side of the proverbial coin... stupid scientists! They should have just asked the ftr guys and then they wouldn't have had to do any research!
