Default KQo in BB after Calling Train

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (BB) ($5.33)
    UTG ($1.21)
    MP ($1.14)
    CO ($1.03)
    Button ($2.68)
    SB ($2.04)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, K
UTG bets $0.08, 1 fold, CO calls $0.08, 1 fold, SB calls $0.07, Hero ???

normally, i'd think twice about playing KQo v an early pos raise, but reduced price after 2 subsequent calls from Loose-ish types made the pot odds v tempting.

    UTG - 38/36/6
    CO - 30/12/3 Fold to cBet 100
    SB - 68/38/0 (21 hands only)

    thoughts?

This hand plays kinda meh oop 4 ways with no FE. Vs this line up of tards, we can squeeze for isolation/value vs dominated hands and then still have fold equity with c bets postflop if one or two of them call. Remember UTGs opening range seems wide given the stats we have so we don't need to worry about squeezing into a nutted range or anything.

squeezing is pretty cool here. as carroters mentioned, this hand doesn't play overly well OOP in 4-way pots. we likely have enough preflop fold equity to make squeezing +EV in a vacuum, however by doing so we also gain the initiative and have the added EV of being able to cbet flops etc. plus the SB, the only person you are ever going to have position on in this hand, seems to be the worst player in the pot and probably calls your squeeze with worse hands OOP. which is a great result.

Not sure where you'd find reading on this, but I'm sure there's plenty out there.

Basically, think about the type of hands KQo usually flops. Top pair good kicker is what you'll be flopping most of the time. Now if we're vs one or two people, the chances top pair, top kicker is the best hand go way up, and also our chances of getting called often by worse hands go way up since our bets don't rep as much strength into only one or two opponents. However, in a 5 way pot, the chances of top pair good kicker etc being out flopped are much higher and so our reverse implied odds (our chances of losing a big pot when we do flop a hand) go up. Additionally, people are less inclined to call our value bets with middle pair etc when we bet into 5 players.

Being OOP does what it always does to enhance this cocktail of meh by making it harder to extract value and easier to loose more money since we have less info on every street when we act etc.

A hand like 87s on the flip side, flops either some bullshit pair we're just folding anyways 5 handed, or some nuts which are very often the best hand and very often going to make us a lot of money. This is why we'd say 87s plays much better multiway way then KQo.

Have a further think about how other types of hands flop and what implications that has on how well they play in different situations.

good spot to squeeze here vs them. generally I'd say fold pre but they all seem pretty loose and with fish in SB call is okay too.
