Default KK top set vs check-raise 25nl FR

villain seems wannabe tag 16-12-4. He probably sees me as a little bit splashy cos button is a whale + sb is dead money so i've been seeing a lot of flops and opening pretty wide from all positions. My c-bet probably looks like 65%-ish

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG+1 ($10.83)
    MP1 ($25)
    MP2 ($11.10)
    CO ($25)
    Button ($39)
    SB ($51.23)
    BB ($29.84)
    Hero (UTG) ($49.06)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K
Hero bets $0.85, 6 folds, BB calls $0.60

    Flop: ($1.80) 8, 7, K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.30, BB raises to $3.75, hero?!

I think the fact it's BB vs UTG makes his c/r range stronger and your image not so important? Probably make it $9 and get it in vs 88/77/good draws.

my original thought was 3b to $8.5 but we can't really get stacks in on the turn with that, so i'd make it something like $9.25 or $9.5 (though smaller if he started with only 100bb) and jam turn. obviously calling it off if he jams flop.

on K87 mono i'd far prefer just flatting here.

Agree with pretty much all of this, especially bold.

Sorry, but what's CiB? Can't find anything in the dictionary, my best guess is Check it Behind? Why would anyone do this?

call - jam any turn - i think he has a FD rarely and sets >75% of the time. Sick is calling a non club turn if he bets and calling/shoving river

Anyone who wants to CiB just allows there opponent to play their range flawlessly

that's possible. but if he has a set we should raise before a club hits and shuts him down and it doesn't really matter the size.

i think his draws/air are more likely to spazz if we CiB; i don't think he'd jam a naked FD over ~$9

his Ac5c jammed over my raise to $8.50, but yeah, once he jammed i was expecting more coolered undersets than just plain stoopid

Gotta love that he jams a bare fd on that board vs your range

i'll show you some from today that make that look like genius on his part.
e.g. someone called my 4b deepish shove with K9 vs my TT, etc. Today has been high variance.
