I understand the point of setting a goal, but a goal that is very hard to achieve is another thing, coming from a player who hasnt yet proven to be a winner is a entirely other thing. Set a goal you have some control over, like the amount of time you play, reviewing hand histories, etc. What if you hit a bad run? You cant control that, you can control how much you play and how you analyze your play. Set a goal of say X number of SNGs over X number of days, look over your tournaments and see how you played in them at the end. That is a goal that you can achieve, regardless of your run at the time, good or bad.
My goals are maybe a litle high but I am aiming at $40/day and playing 4 days a week thats $160/week is my goal take that times 4 weeks in a month that is $640/month and that means lots of hands 530 as matter of fact already that is roughly 50 hands a Sit N GO I am in.
You cant find a correlation between money won and number of hands played as you can not leave in the middle of a tournament, you must finish it. Look at the number of tournaments, not the number of hands in the tournaments. If you play 50 hands a tourney [seems low] how can you make $640 in 530 hands [seems high]? Thats $64 a tournament, first place in a $6 is $25.
Anyways, you need to be playing more than 10 SNGs to know whether or not you are a winning player. Do that before you start playing with a calculator to figure out how much you have to play to make so much. Keep playing and keep posting, that will get you better, but you just cant expect results like that in one month.
