    Default The ideal opponent?

what type of player do you liek to play the most?

obviously the donator kind of player who pretty much gives his money away if thats what you are asking?
or if you are a TAG you want to play against LAGs and vice versa.

the reason im asking is cus, can you really become a better player playing against fish and maniacs? I feel like i cant become a winning player because i keep playing fish, maniacs, etc.

you can learn how to play good solid TAG poker against them and win enough money to eventually move up in stakes where there are a lot of good players. but even at those levels i still want to play against the donator type.

You are not utallising a strategy which works well against these type of players.

Dealling with different types of poker opponents requires adaptation. Any opponents can be exploited effectivly if you know how.

    Nice!
Ok. You want to play against players who you can identify weaknesses in. Calling stations are one. They call down with any or some part of the board, despite what you have, which can be an overpair or top pair. The thing with these players is that occasionaly they get lucky and snag two pair or trips on you. But all most 80% the time they end up donating to you're better hand. 80% thats fairly big. SO even if they suckout some shitty two pair or trips fine. Just dont pay them! Then you get 80% profit on them when they suck.
Chasers. Oh man. Gotta love chasers. Chasing for bad odds is bad, bad, bad. To me its the single worst thing u can do in poker, chase for bad odds. Same here. They only hit about 30% of the time, that means 70% you hold or improve. SO just kill their odds to draw and let them chase. Again jus t remember not to pay them if u think they hit. That means you get more than 2/3rds of anything they put in the pot most times.
Other players to note also include those who overvalue their hands. I played limit the other day against a fish like this. He rivered a straight on a 3 to a flush board, he put me on overs but i had te flush so he pmped half his stack in to the pot with the flush showing and i kept raising. Tough on him that this game had no cap limit on the river. Oh well i busted him. If he had any idea he might have guessed he was beat but he didnt.
Basically look for players who u can catergorize as certain types. Once you have that you can figure out strategies to play aginst them. AGainst fish thats often just kill drawing odds and bet strong hands hard.
Me personally i tend toward liking to play against tight players because im quite loose and aggressive by nature soi like to flop a cheap monster and then batter the taggs for theirs stacks because they know im loose.

Ideal opponent is a rich guy who keeps rebuying, everytime he lose, and who never has heard of poker before.

    Someone who:

    #1: Never fold
#2: Never raise unless he has major good hand
#3: Always call, except on the river if he got no pairs(even to a small bet with ace high)

Some people seriously play that way....
