I need help deciding what is best game for me

I've been playing cards online for bout 8 to 9 months now and i have tried about every type of poker, and i've been tring limit, no-limit and pot limit holdem, and it just seems that i can get up some days and then other days i just can't win and i end up losing everything that i've built up, so i would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on what i need to try and if maybe i just play to loose and tilt really bad when im on a down, or something, so any advice would be great.

i think i was in that exact boat not too long ago, basically because i played over my limit constantly... just check the beginner circle for 19 hands and bankroll management that should help.. as for type of game it all depends on what kind of player you are

I think it is probably good to play NL. there's nothing wrong with limit, but I think NL is more fun, your winrate is probably higher for any given bankroll, and you just gotta pick one. PL is similar to NL, might as well just play NL.

The thing that stands out most to me, is that you've consistently lost at all three types. A general awareness of strategy should be enough to beat any type of low stakes holdem game, so if I were you, I would start reading up on low stakes no limit strategy. It might help if you were to describe your general approach to playing? what do you raise, do you call a lot, do you bluff a lot, etc?

Which game did you have the most fun at? At the lowest limit, every game is entirely beatable, so just pick the one you liked, and practice.

Just pick one and stick with it. Switching gears , esp. between LHE and NL, will screw you up but good if you're just starting.

Well my bankroll is only bout 80 so there's not much playing to do besides the .02/.04 games, which i know is a good place to start but i don't really have to pateince to sit and earn 40 cents a pot, because after a while when i play those games i get bored and start donking my money off and then i get pissed after i lose and go on tilt i guess and go on a bigger table with maybe one buyin and piss it away. So that could be my main problem.

why is NL probable to make my winrate better than limit?

limit tends to swing a lot espeicially playing low stakes... NL does also but if your playing right the potential profit is much more... with 80 BR im not sure which site your playing @ but just play 5.50-6$ 1 table sit n go to build up first just keep at that until you have near 300

NL Ring is my game so my perspective is going to be slightly skewed towards that.

Here's the fortes of the different choices you have IMO.

LHE ring: Good if you are mathematically inclined. There is almost always a "right" play for a given situation. All you do is make plays consistant with a positive expectation and you will earn money. Theres very little psychological warfare and bluffing in limit. Also you can't lose all your money in one hand. In limit, your success depends on making as few small mistakes as possible, as there really aren't that many big mistakes.

NLHE ring: Like limit, you have to make plays that give you positive expectation, but its different in that there are usually a number of good plays for each situation. Aggression is a rewarded a lot more in NL, as the threat of losing a whole stack can win you many uncontested pots. This means that even if you don't catch cards you still can make money by reading weakness in your opponents and exploiting it. What characterizes NL is you can lose (or win) a lot of money in a very short time. NL is a lot more of a psychological warfare than limit.

SNG's: If you like an ever-changing, adapting, and competitive game, then SNG's may be for you. They require that you outwit your opponents in an escalating blinds situation, and usually you have to play a short stack. SNG's swing badly, however, so you need a lot of money to play them (like 50 buyins).

MTT's: Obviously they are like SNG's except they take longer and offer the reward of winning a lot more money. However the swings are even worse than sngs. You will often go for weeks without a big win, even if you are a good player (you will probably need at least 75 or 100 buyins to play mtts).
