SO, SO, SO true. I love being at these tables, where one guy has something to prove vs. another player... and then you're the third party who comes over the top with your monster and scoops a huge one. (BTW, what, if anything, do you say then?)
Seems you get this at the lower stakes more than the higher, which is pretty humorous. Lots of Brunsons playing at $10 NL.
Indeed. It is actually fairly hard to find a table in the nano limit games where someone isn't pissed off about the river card. I've been chewed out a hundred times by people who have looked at a starting hand chart a few times, decided they know all there is to know, then being horrified when my 9 outs give me a 'suckout' river flush (for which I had the odds all along). It can be handy when they get really mad at you and start reraising you with ATC. I used to mention things like pot odds, but now I just stay totally silent and let them get up a good head of steam.
