I Just Played the WORST Poker Game of my Life...Discuss
$100 NLHE (Blinds $1/2)
First situation:
I'm Dealt KQo in MP and limp (K is a heart).
Flop is Q 5 2, 2 hearts. LP goes all in for 45...I know he's accustomed to betting his draws so I feel this is no exception. EP and I call behind.
Turn is a heart. I feel im screwed on the main pot and I see obvious disappointment from EP. I bet 10 and am called.
River is a K. I push all-in for another 85, feeling that I'm happy with the side pot. I'm called.
LP shows Q3 for a pair of queens.
EP shows 55 for a set of 5s.
I show KQ for top 2.
I lose.
Second Situation:
I'm dealt 1010 with large preflop betting. 4 way calling of $40 preflop. I had position so I called it with implied odds.
Flop is 10JQ, 2 suited. EP pushes all-in for 135. I for some reason cannot lay this down and I call. He obviously shows AK and the board doesnt pair. I lose.
Now how did I misplay the first pot and would you have laid down the second hand with 160 in the pot preflop and a bet of 135? Would you have laid it down preflop? Comments are welcome.
I ended up down $20...not the money that counts, just the fact that I feel I played terribly.
