How to play against VERY loose-VERY agg stupid players

I got killed in a Bodog microstakes room last night by two players that could not have been any worse if they tried. It wasn't that they took my money, they confused me so bad the marginal players (including some that I regularly take money from) were killing me. These two players were 85+ vp$ip%, AF 3.0+. They were raising every time the betting came to them, and I was completely unable to figure out when they did and did not have something to be worried about. There were several times when like 6 of the ten were at the pot cap with 73o. I track my stats pretty carefully, and am conscious of my hands. Yet I did terribly against dumb raise/even dumber re-raise. Any suggestions? Or do I just go to another table?

Just don't play ABC with them. You can get up find a table you are more comfortable with, or tighten up like a rock and if they splash chips post-flop try to nut camp them and take there stack. You just have to re-write your game to take their money. But if they do intimidate you and you think it'll throw you off (ie: your afraid to bet into them), move tables.

I noticed that Bodog was exceptionally loose and aggressive tonight. It almost seemed like a Friday night.

The best way to play against maniacs is to tighten up and wait for a great hand.

The looser they are, the more you can gamb0l with those hands you're hesitant to vs good players. I start with TPGK = da nuts & go from there vs the drunken gambl0rs

Limit or No Limit?

In either case, this isn't really difficult to deal with. Just fustrating if they're on a sick rush.

It was micro-stakes limit. They weren't on a sick rush - that was what was frustrating me. They were raising big, and losing, just not to me. Their dumb aggression was making me want to ABUSE these guys, and so I would get in strong, and since I was paying more attention to them, I guess, I was losing to other players hands. I ended up down several bucks, which I made back up last night by getting back to playing MY game. When I got on yesterday afternoon, my first room had the worse of the two, and he was down and playing just as silly. I watched for a circuit, and left to a different table.

bodog has a sportsbook attached... this is the type of player you'll find when the sports betters take a big loss or big win.

I hear this a lot. Dan Harrington (I think) said the best way to play is the opposite of your opponent's style, but don't we just need to be borderline ahead of their range? I.e Against a very loose raiser, we need to be a somewhat loose caller?

I disagree with calling. It lose the initiative. It can be good only if the "raiser" will consider folding unless called. But this is obviously not the case.

So, get a good, even marginal hand and raise, reraise. TPTK, even just TP is good for me. You may lose a few hand, but you should get considerable profit after all.

Try to isolate them preflop
If u can get heads up w them raise TPGK+ all the way or c/call w Ahigh+
they'll bluff all their chips to u

well those type of players obviously enjoy bluffing often but then again there's always a chance that they have a genuine hand

You probably loosened up against them and played more hands against them because you knew they were playing a lot of weak hands

but against these type of players you can afford to lose small pots to them because when you catch them and you have a genuine hand that you know you won with, all you have to do is put up a small bet and they'll raise a big ammount to try steal the pot and you can either raise them all-in immediately or call and repeat on the next card that comes on the board
